‘Valentino: Mirabilia Romae’ takes readers into the extraordinary world of inspiration of creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, revealing their vision of the Valentino woman, exploring the Eternal City that fuels their passion and creativity, and explaining their impact and contribution to fashion as creative artists. Original photographs by Laziz Hamani include Chiuri and Piccioli’s most beloved locations, as well as the spectacular inspiration boards created for each collection and the intricate paper patterns constructed for each haute couture dress, carefully preserved in the maison’s archives.
